This category of phones was pretty much non-existing a year ago; now, they can hardly be missed at the CTIA show floor.
A month ago, Palm launched the $100 Centro consumer QWERTY phone, leaving nothing to be desired other than its price point. At CTIA this week, i-mate unveiled its Ultimate 9502 consumer QWERTY phone, which pretty much offers everything such a phone should have nowadays. Now we can only hope there are some wise people you know where, that'll decide to bring this powerhouse of a consumer smartphone out to the masses.
