New fashion phone features a "living wallpaper" user interface that reflects the city or country where the phone is being used.
Verizon Wireless and Samsung have announced the release of the new Gleam, a metallic bronze and black clamshell featuring their “living wallpaper” interface that lets users see their phones status with a constantly updating city or country view.
The phone will work on Verizon Wireless' 3G network, so expect the full V Cast treatment. Music will be available from the V Cast store, and tracks can be stored on microSD cards up to 4GB. V Cast videos will also be viewable on the phone's QVGA screen. The phone supports stereo Bluetooth, instant messagine with AIM, Yahoo and MSN, and is also capable of text, picture and video messaging. No VZ navigator support, though, from the looks of things.
The Gleam is available now for $150 after rebate and service agreement.
