Toshiba today announced the addition of several new configurations to its A215 series of multimedia notebooks. Starting at $700, the new Satellite A215 models include variations of AMD's most advanced mobile dual-processors, including the AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology Gold Edition and AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor.
Toshiba continues to couple AMD-based Satellite A215 series with the ATI Radeon X1200 graphics to deliver a heightened level of multimedia functionality and video playback. Additional features on all new configurations include a DVD SuperMulti drive and a 15.4-inch widescreen TruBrite display. Select configurations of the Satellite A215 series will include an embedded 1.3 megapixel Webcam, LabelFlash technology and Ulead DVD MoveFactory 5 for Toshiba.
The Satellite A215-S7472, powered by a 2.2 GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual Core Gold Edition processor, will feature the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400 graphics card with 128MB discrete memory for better gaming and graphics experiences. Shipping with 2GB DDR2 SDRAM, a 250GB hard drive and 802.11a/g/n Wi-Fi, the notebook will sell for $1200.
The Satellite A215-S7437, powered by a 1.9 GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual Core processor, will ship with 2GB DDR2 SDRAM, 200GB hard drive and 802.11b/g Wi-Fi connectivity. The retail price is set to $900.
Starting as low as $700, the Satellite A215-S7407 is powered by a 1.8 GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core processor, and will come with 1GB DDR2 SDRAM, 80GB hard drive and 802.11b/g Wi-Fi connectivity.
