Designed for professionals in graphics-centric fields, the projectors offers "the widest range of Adobe RGB color space of any projector," says Canon.
Advancing its REALiS line, Canon introduced two new multimedia projector models: the REALiS SX7 and the REALiS X700.
Engineered for users in markets demanding high-resolution and precise color reproduction, both models feature Canon's AISYS (Aspectual Illumination System) Optical Engine, and an improved 275-watt AC projection lamp that provides richer color reproduction and longer life (2,000 to 3,000 hours) than earlier models. The combination of the new lamp and reflective panels deliver a brightness of 4,000 ANSI lumens as well as improved light efficiency and color reproduction.
The SXGA+ (1400 x 1050) REALiS SX7 supports Adobe RGB and sRGB color space, ideal for professional photography, graphics and printing; computer-aided design and engineering (CAD/CAM) labs and medical imaging. The SX7 is engineered to minimize operating noise (as low as 31dB), and both the SX7 and the XGA (1024 x 768) REALiS X700 have 4000 ANSI Lumens of brightness and a 1000:1 contrast ratio (providing clear large images in brightly lit environments), as well as three stereo audio inputs and one variable stereo audio output
The projectors will be available in December, with the REALiS SX7 retailing at $7,000 and the X700 retailing at $4,000.
