Bose shrinks the size, adds an auxiliary input and balloons the price up to $400 for their SoundDock update.
In an update to their $300 iPod speaker system, the SoundDock, Bose has released the smaller, more full-featured SoundDock Portable.
Featuring an Li-Ion battery that gives up to three hours of battery life at full volume, the SoundDock portable will also charge your iPod, even if the dock is not plugged into the wall.
At 6.75 inches high, and 12 inches wide, the unit is 4 inches deep with the dock swiveled shut. Slightly smaller than the original, it features a new remote, retractable dock and most importantly, an auxiliary input.
The SoundDock Portable is expected to be released by the end of September in white or black for $400.
