With a multimedia interface on top of Windows Mobile 6, the new Verizon Moto Q music 9m will be a unique Q9.

Hot on the heels of yesterday's music announcement with new partners MTV and RealNetworks, Verizon Wireless today announced the imminent addition of the Motorola Q music 9m to their lineup. Looking to be the first Q9 model to hit the market (Sprint, any announcements for this afternoon?), the Verizon Wireless edition also packs a sleek black and red color scheme, and will feature a unique multimedia Today screen. Users will be able to toggle between V Cast music functions and the standard Windows Mobile menu.

In addition to the OS tweaks, the new Q music 9m will also feature stereo speakers, and can handle microSD cards up to 4GB. The phone itself will cost $300 after contracts and rebates. It has a 2.5mm headphone jack, and you can bet that Verizon Wireless will be stingy with accessories. In fact, the company will be selling the phone boxed with a 2GB microSD card and stereo headphones for a $50 premium, or with a 4GB card and headphones for $150 extra.

Look for the Moto Q music 9m to show up in Verizon Wireless locations on August 29th. Seriously, Sprint, no Q9 announcements today? I mean, it's not like we didn't see them.
