Entertainment giant releases line of electronics inspired by and featuring Disney hits like "Pirates of the Caribbean," "High School Musical" and "Hannah Montana."
With their new Fall 2007 lineup, Disney has introduced three products branded with logos and designs from popular franchises: a video camera, iPod speakers and LCD TVs.
The Disney Flix Video Cam, a compact handheld video camera, is packaged with Disney Director software, which includes storyboards, sound effects, film footage, music and character voices from Disney films and TV shows. Included with the camera is the High School Musical version of the software. Additional titles can be purchased separately for $15 each.
The Disney Flix Video Cam will retail for $100.
Disney's new LCD TVs are 15" Sharp LCD panels, with a resolution of 1024 x 768 and an aspect ratio of 4:3. The designs are inspired by some of Disney’s biggest hits, including High School Musical, Hannah Montana, Disney Princess and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Each model has a VGA out for use as a PC monitor, and will be available in the fall at Wal-Mart, Toys 'R' Us, Best Buy and DisneyShopping.com for $300.
The Disney iPod-compatible speakers use Apple’s 30-pin connector and also work with Disney Mix personal media players. The docking stations include an AM/FM clock radio, 2.5 – 3 watts speakers and a smart/self timer chip, and are available in High School Musical and Hannah Montana styles.
A second style of iPod speakers is also available, featuring a guitar amp with microphone and guitar inputs to sing and play along with the music, but does not include a clock feature. Both models of Disney speakers will be available this fall at Best Buy, Toys 'R' Us and Wal-Mart for $70.
