Not to be outdone by its CDMA competitor, Sprint today also announced the imminent availability of the anticipated Motorola MOTORAZR (2) V9m, though Sprint plans to make the phone available August 22, earlier than Verizon Wireless' September release. In addition, Sprint will offer the phone for $250, $50 less than Verizon Wireless' price.
As we noted earlier, Motorola originally announced a few interesting features for the RAZR 2 that we don't think will make the cut, at least not to the CDMA carriers. Though enhanced Java support may be more likely on Sprint that Verizon Wireless, we still don't expect to see the Linux interface Motorola has been touting.
Anyone else want to announce a RAZR 2 today? A V9 for AT&T perhaps? Or maybe a nice V8 from T-Mobile? Better make it quick, before the weekend starts!
