Apple CEO Steve Jobs unveils the new brushed-aluminum and glass iMacs at their Cupertino HQ.
Apple Inc. announced its revamped iMac line at a press conference this morning at their Cupertino, Calif. headquarters.
Featuring a redesigned keyboard and glossy displays, the new systems will be capable of holding up to 1TB of hard drive storage and 4GB of RAM. 2.4Ghz Core 2 Extreme Intel processors, ATI Radeon HD graphics cards, 802.11n and Bluetooth 2.0 are all standard.
The new consumer-targeted all-in-one systems are now encased in a glass and brushed aluminum body, which Apple CEO Steve Jobs said makes it desirable from a recycling point of view.
The new iMacs are being offered in 20" models at two price points--$1,199 and $1,499--and a 24" model is available for $1,799, $200 cheaper than the previous iMac's 24" model.
