Super-Audio CD system also Sony's first double din-sized car video entertainment system.
Sony's first double din-sized visual car entertainment system, the XAV-W1, is also their first foray into the Super Audio CD car system market. The device plays CDs, DVD video and SA-CDs, all controlled by a 7-inch video screen that dominates the double din face.
The XAV-W1 has a 5.1-Channel surround sound option, satellite radio (with a subscription) and iPod controls (with the optional remote). When connected to an HD Radio tuner the unit also receives HD radio channels.
The XAV-W1 will be released in August with an MSRP of $800.
