Microsoft's is dropping the MSRP of their Xbox 360 HD DVD Player from $199 to $179, bundling the player with five free HD DVDs for a limited time. Customers who purchase an Xbox360 HD DVD player between Aug. 1 and Sept. 30 will also get their choice of five HD DVDs from a selection of 15 titles.

Microsoft is also working in conjunction with Warner Bros. to offer HD versions of "300" on demand via their Xbox Live service starting Aug. 14.
