The high-megapixel camera uses face detection technology to keep faces in focus.
Fujifilm today released a bunch of new cameras, the highlight of which is the FinePix F50fd. At 12 megapixels, the F50fd is the highest resolution point-and-shoot camera FujiFilm has offered to date.
The camera's shake-correcting feature - FujiFilm has dubbed it "Dual Image Stabilization" - combines mechanical and software-based shake-removing technology to prevent getting blurry photos. In addition to aperture settings of up to ISO1600 at full resolution (and up to ISO 6400 at reduced resolution), the camera features face detection technology that also removes red eye automatically.
The AA battery-powered FinePixF50fd, with its 2.7" LCD and a memory slot compatible with xD, SD and SD-HC cards, will be available in September 2007 and retail at $299.95.
