Toshiba's new multimedia laptop provides a range of high-end features, including HD playback and 320GB hard drive capacity.
As the first U.S. notebook with an HD DVD-R optical drive, the Qosmio G45-AV680 can burn up to 30 GB of data onto a single HD DVD recordable disc. In addition to storage capacity, the HD DVD-R optical drive also plays HD DVD movies in full 1080p resolution.
The Qosmio G45-AV680 sports a piano-key white finish, which is contrasted by a silver volume control knob and Qosmio AV Controller. Adding to the effect, each control knob is backlit by a halo of blue light. The Qosmio G45 comes with high-end features such as four Harman Kardon stereo speakers, a built-in sub woofer and Dolby Home Theater technology.
Built around a 17-inch diagonal widescreen display, the Qosmio G45 offers a HDMI port, an USB HDTV tuner, a NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT graphics card and 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity. Furthermore, the multimedia laptop boasts a 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo process, 2GB of internal memory as well as a two 160GB hard drives.
The Toshiba Qosmio G45-AV680 is available now for $3200.
