The Sony Ericsson S500 is a slick little slider with a few glowing light accents on the sides and the face. Sony Ericsson has performed some scheduling tricks that will cause the slider to glow and display different colors and wallpapers depending on the season or time of day. These may be gimmicks, but the phone is still a nice looking slider with a solid feature set, including stereo Bluetooth for music and a QVGA screen. Unfortunately, the S500 only gets EDGE networking, but Sony Ericsson expects to start shipping the phone as early as this fall.
