The Zvue 260 begins shipping through Walmart today, offering a cheap alternative in the PMP market.
HandHeld Entertainment today released the Zvue 260 portable media player, aiming towards the lower-end of the PMP market.
Measuring 4.2 by 2.6 by 0.5 inches and weighing in at 3.93 ounces, the compact Zvue 260 sports a 2.5-inch display and supports video playback at a resolution of 320x240 pixels.
The Zvue 260 supports Xvid, MPEG4 and WMV (with DRM) for video playback; MP3, WMA (with DRM), OGG and MP3 for audio playback; as well as JPG and BMP for photo viewing.
A 1GB SD card will be bundled in the sales package, while the SD slot itself supports up to 8 GB SD memory cards. An upgraded version of the ZAPP Media Manager software will also be included.
The HandhHeld Entertainment Zvue 260 is now available from Walmart, selling for approximately $100.
