The music phone market has evolved in the right direction lately; find out what's going on here.
With the launch of Apple's iPhone, a serious issue with music phones was addressed; namely storage capacity. Verizon Wireless has already answered by releasing the LG VX8550 that bundles a 4GB memory card, and we expect more of that kind to come later this year. Within a year or so, we'll likely not even consider phones for this chart unless they come with at least 4GB of memory.
The chart below ranks phones based on the total music player experience. The "Storage" column is based on internal memory or optional memory packages from the carrier stores, and the amounts in the "Price" column includes the extra costs associated with the optional memory packages. Since new memory formats are rolling out almost as often as top-rated music phones; make sure to write down its specifications before shopping memory cards separately in computer stores (that are usually cheaper than carrier stores).
