New Casio Exilim EX-S880 and EX-Z77 cameras come with software for easier uploading to the popular video sharing site.
Casio has announced two new Exilim digital cameras, the thinner "card" EX-S880 and the "zoom" EX-Z77 (image gallery). Available in a few colors each, the cameras' main selling point will be the included YouTube Capture mode and software for the desktop that will allow quick uploading to a YouTube account. With UHQ Wide (848 by 480 pixels) resolution video recording at h.264 quality, Casio seems to be taking the video features seriously, though we think that Wi-Fi capabilities might have been a more useful way of uploading videos directly to the Web, skipping the desktop step altogether.
The EX-S880 will be a slim, upscale model, with a 3X optical zoom and 8-megapixel sensor. Though the EX-Z77 is tagged an "Exilim Zoom" camera, it doesn't manage better than 3X optical zooming, and features a 7-megapixel sensor. The EX-S880 and EX-Z77 will be available in August for $300 and $230 respectively.
