A new breed of communicators is seeing the light of day this year, introduced primarily to close the gap between business smartphones and ultra-mobile notebooks. With two different approaches, both HTC and Palm seem to take the lead in this area. The competition is hard though, as notebook vendors such as Dell is about to offer 3G connectivity as an option in all of its new notebooks.
