Aimed at consumers in need of more storage capacity for their HD content; Western Digital's new My Library DVR Expander stores up to 60 hours of HD television programming based on a 500 GB hard drive. The My Library is also capable of storing up to 300 hours of standard television programming.
Currently compatible with Scientific Atlanta 8300 series digital video recorders, the My Library is planned to offer compatibility with other cable and satellite DVR manufacturers as they roll out eSATA ports on their DVRs.
The My Library DVR Expander is available now from WD's online store, selling for approximately $200 US.
