Alienware combines NVIDIA SLI technology and Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processor in new gaming laptop.

Alienware today announced its Area-51 m9750 gaming laptop, boasting a dual 512 MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX graphics card, NVIDIA SLI technology and an Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processor.

Claiming to offer lightning-quick frame rates and standout image quality, Alienware's m9750 hopes to be a dream system for mobile gamers and entertainment enthusiasts.

Topping its impressive hardware is a 17-inch widescreen display (1920 x 1200 pixels resolution) featuring Clearview technology, an integrated TV tuner with full DVR functionality and a Blu-ray disc drive utilizing NVIDIA PureVideo HD technology. Built-in surround sound and 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity are also available.

With the new Area-51 m9750, Alienware hopes to raise the bar for mobile HD entertainment, although it comes at a price. Expect to shell out approximately $4,000 US at Alienware's online store, for a configuration which includes most of the above mentioned features. The m9750 should start shipping in late July 2007.
