Good Mobile Messaging 5, the updated edition of the service that was recently acquired by Motorola, includes support for Windows Mobile 6, along with several new features to help manage e-mail. The first feature is message threading, which groups e-mails related by a topic together to make them easier to find. Good 5 will also let you group messages that you've received from a particular sender, and will let you delete an entire group of e-mails. The service lets you view e-mail attachments, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and PDF files without the need for a third-party viewer, and allows you to send them in outbound e-mails. This will give Apple's iPhone, which features similar e-mail attachment options, a bit of competition. Good Mobile Messaging 5 also has priority levels that you can set for specific senders and newsletters, and will feature different alerts for the various levels.
Good Mobile Messaging 5 will also feature an RSS reader to stay up to date on the latest headlines, as well as enhanced security measures. The service allows IT departments to remotely lockdown applications and the device, set criteria for stronger passwords and require users to download anti-virus software.
Good Mobile Messaging 5 will be available in September 2007, but there's still no word yet on pricing.
