The flash drive features an eye-catching, sleek design with at retractable USB connector.

SanDisk unleashed its Cruzer Contour flash drive, which sports a slick, shiny face in basic black and metallic silver body. One of the most interesting design features of the understated flash drive is its retractable USB connector. Rather than including a cap that's easy to lose, the Cruzer Contour has a hidden switch that slides out the connector. You just have to slide the face up and down to reveal and hide the connector. Other design features include blue LEDs beneath the word Cruzer that light up when the flash drive is connected to a computer.

The Cruzer Contour has a write speed of 18 MB/sec, which according to SanDisk, is double the write speed of its previous flash drives. The Contour is also compatible with Windows Vista and includes ReadyBoost, which finds unused space on the flash drive to increase performance when several applications are running at once. Like many flash drives, the Cruzer Contour has AES hardward encryption and password protection for security. The Contour also has pre-installed programs and games, including SanDisk's CruzerSync, Skype, Sudoku and Majong Towers Eternity.

The SanDisk Cruzer Contour is currently available in 4GB and 8GB models and retails for $100 and $190, respectively.
