The GPS manufacturer's latest navigators feature large touch screen displays and offer a points-of-interest database.
Garmin announced its latest GPS navigators in the nuvi line with the 250w and the 200w, which sport 4.3-inch widescreen displays. The displays have a resolution of 480 by 272 pixels, and the company claims it is readable in bright sunlight.
The pair of nuvis include a touch screen interface where you can access a points-of-interest database for hotels, restaurants and gas stations. The 250w and 200w also offer a picture viewer, a currency converter, a unit converter, a calculator and a world clock. The GPS navigators also include Garmin Lock technology, which disables the unit until a 4-digit PIN is entered, for added security.
While both nuvis offer most of the same features, the 250w sets itself apart from the 200w by including maps of the US, Puerto Rico and Canada, while the 200w only has maps for the US sans Alaska and Puerto Rico.
The Garmin nuvi 250w and the nuvi 200w will be available in July and will retail for $550 and $500 respectively.
