Pennsylvania based Cardo, introduced its S-640 entry-level Bluetooth headset, featuring a simple pendant draped in a glossy black finish, which has a clip on the back so you can secure it to your clothes. Unlike the Jabra BT325s, which was geared for music enthusiasts, the S-640 is designed for chatterboxes, and only includes a single earbud and doesn't support the A2DP profile. The headset isn't among the smallest we've seen at 1.8 by 0.7 by 0.9 inches, but the pendant is rather light at 0.6 ounces.
The Cardo S-640 doesn't offer much by way of features, but it does have a vibration/ringer alert integrated in the pendant so you don't have to constantly wear the earbud. The headset also offers mute, redial, voice dial and call reject functions. According to Cardo, the S-640 has about a 33-foot range and a 6-hour talk time.
The Cardo S-640 is currently available and retails for $60.
