The Harman Kardon Guide + Play GPS-300 portable GPS receiver includes a touch screen interface and a music player.
Harmon Kardon introduced its Guide + Play GPS-300 GPS navigator, featuring a music player that supports MP3 and WMA files. Songs can be sideloaded onto miniSD cards, up to 4GB. The GPS-300 also allows you to simultaneously listen to your favorite tunes and turn-by-turn directions, and set a volume priority so the directions will be louder than the music or vice versa.
Like many GPS devices, the Guide + Play GPS-300 includes a points-of-interest database that contains restaurants, shops and cafes. The points-of-interest database and other features are accessed through the GPS-300's 4-inch touch screen LCD, which boasts a WQVGA (480 by 272) resolution.
The GPS-300 is a portable GPS receiver, and comes bundled with a ball and socket joint mount so you can see it from several angles in the car. The Guide + Play can charge via USB or your car's cigarette lighter, and it includes cables for both.
The Harman Kardon Guide + Play GPS-300 will be available some time in June and should retail for $300.
