Upstaging even the new RAZR2 at Motorola's media event in New York City today, the Z8 was revealed to be the phone at which Motorola CEO Ed Zander had been hinting when he said the manufacturer would be releasing a "Multimedia Monster."
Though we've been wowed by the Z8 at trade shows in the past (check out our hands-on gallery and impressions from CTIA 2007), what surprised us today were the announcements about the accessories that will be packaged with the unlocked (probably European) edition of the phone.
Expect to find a full-length copy of "The Bourne Identity" on a microSD card, as well as the Motorola S9 stereo Bluetooth headset. A nice way for the company to demonstrate that the phone is taking multimedia very seriously.
Otherwise, nothing new about the phone today except more bragging about its impressive capabilities, including its hi-res display and HSDPA networking.
No word on pricing or availability, but American carriers aren't too fond of giving away accessories, so we're thinking this package may be unlocked and expensive, when it finally becomes available.
