The JumpDrive Secure II Plus is now available, featuring a display that alerts you to the amount of space you have left on the device.
Lexar's JumpDrive Secure II Plus looks like your garden-variety USB flash drive, except for its built-in display, featuring a storage capacity meter. The flash drive's monochrome screen displays a meter that resembles the battery meter on a cell phone. The JumpDrive is available in a variety of capacities, including 512MB, 1GB, 2GB and 4G, with an 8GB version on the way.
The JumpDrive also features 256-bit AES encryption for security, and comes preloaded with Lexar's Secure II security software that allows you to set passwords for different areas and files. The software also has a "File Shredder" feature that will delete files and their digital trails so that file recovery tools can't find them again. The JumpDrive works with Macs and PCs, and is compatible with Windows Vista.
The Lexar JumpDrive Secure II Plus is available immediately and starts at about $20 for the 512MB model.
