Sony Ericsson's T650 is set to join the manufacturer's stable of sleek, slim handsets sporting a stainless steel shell in blue or green hues. The candy bar doesn't add on bulk at 4.1 by 1.8 by 0.5 inches and tips the scales at a respectable 3.4 ounces. The T650 also features a 1.9-inch display that's protected by scratch-resistant mineral glass. According to the company, the glass display makes colors appear more intense, makes the screen clearer in bright lighting and increases the screen's viewing angle up to 170 degrees. Like the recently announced Sony Ericsson S500, the T650 includes lighting effects that are synchronized with menu animations.
However, the T650 up the ante on the S500 by including a more solid multimedia feature set, complete with support for UMTS. The T650 also serves up a 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus, along with a music player that supports MP3 and AAC files. The Sony Ericsson candy bar also features stereo Bluetooth, a speakerphone, mobile e-mail and a Memory Stick Micro expansion slot.
The Sony Ericsson T650 is expected to ship in select markets toward the fall. No word yet on how much it will set you back.
