The camera powerhouse launches COOLPIX S50c Flickr-friendly 7.2-megapixel compact camera.
Nikon recently released the COOLPIX S50c, which can transer pictures wirelessly using a Wi-Fi connection. According to Nikon, users can e-mail snapshots to friends and family or upload them to Flickr with COOLPIX CONNECT 2. The service can also store up to 2GB of images and video, which you can use as a back-up or as a way to free up some space on your SD cards.
Nikon also launched the COOLPIX S50 (image gallery), which includes the same features set as the S50c except for the Wi-Fi connectivity. Some of these features include a 7.2-megapixel sensor, a 3X optical zoom Nikkor glass lens and a 3-inch LCD display. The S50 features a sleek black shell with a rectangular profile, while the S50c is a bit curvier, with rounded edges and a silver shell.
Both digital cameras include optical image stabilization with an ISO up to 1600. The COOLPIX cameras also have a dedicated button for their Anti-Shake feature. The Nikon cameras include a One-Touch Portrait Button that activates the Face-priority auto-focus feature, the Red-Eye Fix and the D-Lighting feature, which creates a copy of the picture with detail added in under-exposed areas.
The Nikon COOLPIX S50c and the COOLPIX S50 are available immediately and cost $350 and $300, respectively.
