The Oklahoma-based company, Edge Tech Corp, is now shipping its DiskGO Secure Flash Drive Enhanced for Readyboost.
Storage device manufacturer, Edge Tech Corp released its DiskGO Secure Flash Drive Enhanced for ReadyBoost, which offers Windows Vista compatibility. The flash drive includes password-protected encryption software that works with Vista, and according to Edge, the DiskGO is the first on the market to do so.
As the name states, the DiskGO Flash Drive is enhanced to support ReadyBoost, a Vista feature that uses flash memory to improve system performance. ReadyBoost allows hard drive data to be stored on the flash drive allowing programs and processes to speed up. The flash drive also has Crytarchiver software that allows you to choose between 448-bit Blowfish encryption and AES 256-bit encryption.
The DiskGO Flash Drive Enhanced for ReadyBoost sports an attractive metallic case that swivels out to reveal the actual device. At 3 by 0.8 by 0.3 inches, it's not the smallest flash drive we've ever seen, but isn't the biggest, either. The flash drive is available in various memory capacities, ranging from 1GB to 4GB.
The DiskGO Flash Drive is available immediately and ranges in price from $27 for the 1GB model to $65 for the 4GB model.
