The handset giant introduces a simple candy bar with a robust multimedia feature set.
Nokia's 6120 Classic appears to be your garden-variety, plain Nokia handset, but upon taking a closer look at its specs, we've noticed a bit more style. First off, at 0.6 inches thick and 3.1 ounces, the 6120 Classic is much slimmer and lighter than many phones we've seen from the Finnish manufacturer. The Classic also sports a shell in two different colors, black and white. Nokia also includes a 2-inch QVGA display.
The quad-band phone supports HSDPA high-speed networking and includes a media player with support for MP3, M4A, eACC+ and WMA files. The candy bar also includes stereo Bluetooth and microSD memory expansion for up to 2GB to store all your tracks. The 6120 Classic features a 2-megapixel camera and a front-facing VGA camera for video conferencing (a feature we won't see if the handset comes stateside).
The Nokia 6120 Classic also offers messaging options, including instant messaging and mobile e-mail. Nokia preloaded How-To Guides and a Set-up Wizard to make setting up mobile e-mail and the Internet connection an easier process. The phone doesn't neglect calling features and has push to talk, Bluetooth support for hands-free and headset profiles and voice tagging.
The Nokia 6120 Classic is expected to release toward the middle of the year and retail for about $260.
