The Acogito ROAMING MACHINE allows you to watch your home TV and recorded shows anywhere using your cell phone or computer.
Acogito, a Korean personal media entertainment carrier company, unveiled its ROAMING MACHINE at NAB 2007, which can roam your home TV or recorded shows anywhere. According to Acogito, the ROAMING MACHINE can act as a digital HD set-top box, a DVR or even a digital TV with a built-in, place-shifting capability.
The ROAMING MACHINE uses the company's patented Remote Control Extensible Mark-up Language technology for a set of command protocols for remote viewing on your PC or mobile phone with broadband Internet capabilities. The device is available in three different hardware platforms depending on the broadcasting reception methods, such as ATSC (8VSB/QAM)/NTSC for the U.S., DVB-S/DVB-T/PAL for Europe and IP for the rest of the world.
Pricing and availability for the Acogito ROAMING MACHINE has yet to be announced.
