The entry-level navigational gadget includes a 1GB SD card with US maps, a 3.5-inch QVGA display and a points-of-interest database.

Mio Technology released its latest GPS device, featuring a preloaded 1GB SD card with maps of the U.S and turn-by-turn directions in English, French and Spanish. According to Mio, the DigiWalker C220 is an entry-level device that was designed with GPS neophytes in mind.

The C220 sports a garden-variety, rectangular design and is rather compact at 4.2 by 3.3 by 0.9 inches. The device is also rather lightweight at 3.9 ounces. However, the most enticing feature of the C220 is its 3.5-inch QVGA display, which has an anti-glare treatment that Mio claims keeps the display visible in the sun.

The DigiWalker C220 also includes a points-of-interest database, packed with more than 3.5 million locations, such as restaurants, sports arenas, bars and cafes. Rounding out the C220's feature set are 256MB of built-in memory and USB transfer capabilities. According to company, the C220's battery lasts up to 4.5 hours.

The Mio DigiWalker C220 is currently available for about $250 from several retailers including, Comp USA, Circuit City, Fry's Electronics, Pep Boys and Staples.
