The Wi-Fi enabled MP3 player will have access to Yahoo's services including Yahoo Music, Flickr and LAUNCHcast Internet radio.
Sandisk and Yahoo have teamed up to offer some of the Internet giant's services on the Sansa Connect Wi-Fi-enabled digital audio player. The collaboration allows the Sansa Connect to access both free and subscription services from Yahoo Music, along with LAUNCHcast Internet radio, Flickr and Yahoo Messenger. Since the Connect has Wi-Fi, owners can be constantly connected to the aforementioned Yahoo services.
The Sansa Connect has 4GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot for memory expansion. The DAP also features a 2.2-inch TFT display and an internal speaker. The Connect also functions like a traditional flash-based MP3 player when Wi-Fi is disabled, and can display pictures and supports MP3 and WMA files. The device also supports all Microsoft PlaysForSure subscription music.
The Sandisk Sansa Connect is available immediately and retails for $250.
