The companies joined forces and will offer Google search, Google Maps, Gmail and Blogger Mobile as pre-installed applications on LG phones.
LG and Google announced their partnership, which will bring popular Google services to millions of LG phones. By the middle of this year, LG phones with pre-installed Google apps will be shipped across the pond in Europe and Asia, and will even make its way to U.S. shores.
These LG phones will dish out one-click access to Google search with an icon in the handset's application menu. The LG-Google phones will also offer access to Google Maps, Gmail and Blogger mobile. While most handsets with a WAP browser can already access these services, we haven't seen them pre-installed on phones before.
Though 10 Google-oriented phones will be released in 2007, LG plans to continue to launch the handsets over the course of a few years. No word yet on pricing or which specific phones will roll out first.
