HTC today unveiled its new Windows Vista powered communicator; to ship in both the U.S. and Europe later this year.

Powered by Windows Vista and featuring a QWERTY-based keyboard and 3G connectivity, HTC today unveiled the HTC Shift at CTIA. The HTC Shift aims at providing all the power, functionality and connectivity the busy professional needs in a design that is half the size of what they lug around today.

Similar in size to a couple of DVD cases, the HTC Shift comes with Windows Vista Business, and includes a 7-inch widescreen touch display as well as a 30 GB hard drive. The HTC Shift features high-speed global connectivity with tri-band UMTS/HSDPA, Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi. For providing access to music, videos and photos, the HTC Shift also features Windows Media Player 11.

The HTC Shift will be available in the US and Europe in Q3 2007. Additional details regarding pricing, availability and specifications will be announced when available.
