Sony Ericsson today announced its new W580 Walkman phone, a slim slider music phone that delivers the full Walkman phone experience along with gaming, imaging and fitness applications. The W580 measures 99 x 47 x 14 mm, and offers up to 20 hours of music playback. Shipping in white and grey, the W850 sports a Walkman 2.0 music player and a 512 MB Memory Stick Card.
The Sony Ericsson W850 also features a 2 Megapixel camera and functions such such as a portable photo album. The handset also offers fitness applications, including one that tracks running speed and distance. Furthermore, the W850 comes equipped with a 2.0" QVGA 262K TFT screen, Bluetooth 2.0, Instant messaging, Picture blogging, USB 2.0, full HTML browser with RSS, as well as a bundled stereo headset.
Sony Ericsson claims a talk time of up to 9 hours and a standby time of up to 15 days. The W850 Walkman phone is a Quad Band EDGE phone (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and will be available in the U.S. from Q3 2007. The price tag has yet to be announced.
