Launching its sixth DivX certified digital camera, Pentax today added the compact 10-megapixel Optio A30 to its portfolio.
Pentax today released its sixth DivX certified digital camera in the Optio A30 model, aiming to make it easier for users to create their own media. Sporting a 2.5 inch color LCD, the 10-megapixel Pentax Optio A30 can capture still pictures as well as DivX video of up to one hour on a 1 GB memory card.
With the push of a button users can instantly record DivX video in VGA (640x480 pixels) resolution, and the Optio A30 also provides anti shake in movie mode. By offering the DivX technology Pentax aims to enable easier transfer of footage from the camera to televisions, DVD players, portable media players and internet services.
As a still camera, the 10-megapixel Optio A30 provides a sensitivity of up to ISO 3200 in Digital SR mode, 3x optical zoom, as well as face recognition auto focus and auto exposure.
Shipping in a compact alloy body, the Pentax Optio A30 is available in stores now for approximately $350 US.
