The company unleashes the V12 headset with an LCD display, the budget T8 micro headset and the Interphone helmet headset.
BlueAnt recently released a bevy of Bluetooth headsets including the V12 (image gallery). The black and silver V12 is caplet-shaped and has an earloop design. The most striking feature on the V12 is its LCD display, and while it's not the first Bluetooth headset with a screen, we haven't seen too many around. The backlit LCD supports caller ID and can fit 12 digits on the screen, as well as a battery meter and volume level indicator.
The BlueAnt V12 also includes a robust feature set beyond its caller ID capabilities, such as a vibrating alert for calls, and it supports voice dialing. The headset also keeps a call history for the last ten numbers received for redialing. The V12 can pair with up to five different devices that support the hands-free and headset profiles. According to BlueAnt, the V12 can get about 12 hours of talk time and 360 hours of standby. The V12 is available immediately and retails for $80.
BlueAnt's T8 micro (image gallery) also made its debut, but it's a bit on the bare-bones side compared to the V12. The T8 is rather light at just 0.5 ounces, but it isn't as tiny as its name suggests; the headset measures about 2 by 1 by 1 inches, which is practically the size of a boulder when compared to Sagem's half-inch-thick, H4 headset.
The T8 micro does include features such as voice activated dialing and one-touch redial. The headset can also pair with up to eight Blutooth-enabled devices. The T8 sports a multicolored LED that indicates various modes and can be switched off. The T8 micro is quite budget-friendly at $50 and is available immediately.
BlueAnt rounded out its Bluetooth trio with the InterPhone helmet headset (image gallery). The Interphone is a removable headset for motorcycle helmets. The device appears to be a bit bulky in photos but is rather lightweight at just 1.2 ounces. The InterPhone features a boom microphone that extends in front of the biker's mouth, and according to BlueAnt, the mic includes an anti-wind and anti-noise feature. The headset itself has a digital signal processor for noise and echo reduction, and is water and weather resistant. The company claims "excellent performance" of the InterPhone at speeds up to 80 miles per hour.
The BlueAnt InterPhone also features intercom communication between two helmet headsets that are within 490 feet of each other. The InterPhone also includes standard headset features including voice dialing and redialing. The headset has a large main button, which BlueAnt claims can be easily used while wearing gloves. The InterPhone can be snatched up immediately and costs $190.
