The sleek WEP 420 headset marks the second collaboration between Samsung and the fashionable audio designer.

Samsung and Bang & Olufsen have partnered up again to introduce the Samsung WEP 420 Bluetooth headset at CeBIT 2007. The companies previously collaborated on the Serene clamshell, which was released in 2005. The WEP 420 features a simple, slider design with an earloop and buttons that are hidden behind the sliding cover for a minimalist look. According to Samsung, the cover also blocks static to improve the sound quality of the headset, but we won't know for sure until we get our hands on a review unit. The WEP 420 bundles a charger cradle that looks rather boxy in photos, yet Samsung encourages you to use it for "interior decoration."

Samsung's WEP 500 Bluetooth headset also made its debut at the CeBIT 2007 show in Germany. Samsung described the headset as "mini," featuring a compact size and round shape. We haven't laid our eyes on the WEP 500 yet, but if it's anything like Samsung's WEP200, we expect an eye-catching, tiny headset.

The Samsung WEP 420 will be available in March, and the WEP 500 will be launched in Europe and Asia for the second quarter. Prices for the headsets have yet to be announced, but the Bang and Olufsen brand usually commands a premium.
