Garmin's new widescreen GPS navigators come in three different models, ranging from basic to advanced offerings.
Garmin today launched several new widescreen navigators, including the nuvi 600, nuvi 650 and the nuvi 660FM. With a 4.3-inch (diagonal) touch screen, the nuvi 650 offers a widescreen Personal Travel Assistant with preloaded maps of either North America or over 30 countries in Europe. The nuvi 650 does not sport Bluetooth support or standard real-time traffic info, however, the latter is available through an optional traffic receiver.
The nuvi 650 also offers optional applications on SD cards such as Garmin Travel Guide, Garmin Language Guide and Garmin Savers Guide, respectively providing hotel recommendations, audible language translation into five different languages, and a geo-coded "coupon book" that notifies users of nearby discounts at hotels, restaurants and more.
The nuvi 600, a regionalized version of the nuvi 650 for Europe, includes map coverage provided by NAVTEQ of UK/Ireland, Nordics, France, Italy/Greece, Benelux, Spain/Portugal, Alps and Germany/Switzerland/Austria/Czech Republic.
The nuvi 660FM brings an integrated FM transmitter to the European version of the nuvi 660, enabling broadcasting of voice guidance, MP3, audio books and phone calls over the vehicle's existing speakers. The nuvi's entertainment audio is muted when navigation instructions are given, and the model also incorporates an integrated traffic receiver as well as Bluetooth capability.
The nuvi 600, nuvi 650, and nuvi 660FM are expected to be available in April, while price tags have yet to be announced.

The nuvi 200 includes preloaded mapping of the contiguous United States (lower 48), Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The nuvi 250 has preloaded mapping of the entire United States (including Alaska and Hawaii), Canada and Puerto Rico. The nuvi 270 includes preloaded maps of the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and over 30 countries in Europe.
The nuvi 200, nuvi 250 and nuvi 270 are expected to be available in
April with price tags of $399.99, $499.99 and $599.99, respectively.
