The Play List Jacket connects to your iPod and lets you control your tracks and volume levels.
iPod clothing isn't new, but it's usually geared toward athletes like snowboarders and can only be found on-line or in specialty stores. In most cases, even Apple stores don't have iPod apparel available on their shelves or racks. However, the nationwide retailer, Express Men, will soon carry the Play List Jacket, which is produced by Bagir, an Israeli tailoring company.
The simple, two-buttoned blazer has a special inside pocket for your iPod that features an iPod dock connector cable built right in. Once connected, you can switch tracks and adjust the volume of your tunes by using the buttons on the inside of the lapel. The jacket has loops for you to feed your headphones through, to keep the wires nice and tidy. The jacket also received the "Made for iPod" authorization from Apple. However, given that the Play List Jacket only includes a cable with the iPod's proprietary connector, the jacket leaves shuffle users out in the cold.
The jacket is dry clean only, but you will have to remove the connectors (which are held into place by a strip of fabric) before hand. The Play List Jacket will be available in black or black pinstripe by the end of the month and will set you back about $250.
