Sony announced a bevy of eye-catching Walkman media players, including the NW-A800 series and the NW-E-series. The NW-A800 has an appealing, slim profile and will be available in a variety of colors, such as pink, black, sliver and blue.
The media player will feature a 2-inch QVGA display, which can be viewed in portrait or landscape modes, and will come in 2GB, 4GB and 8GB models. The NW-A800 will support MP3, AAC, ATRAC, WMA, MPEG-4 and AVC files, which can be transferred from your computer to the device over a USB 2.0 connection.
Sony also unveiled the NW-E-series Walkman players, which sport a stick form factor similar to the first generation iPod shuffle, and an OLED display. The NW-E players ditch the A800's integrated video player, but the Walkman can still play ATRAC, WMA, MP3 and WAV files.
The NW-A800 will be released in Europe in April, and the 4GB version will run you £150 or about $295. There no word yet on price and availability for the NW-E-series.
