The portable media player has a 3.5 inch display, a 30GB hard drive and a 1.3-megapixel camera to shoot stills.
Archos launched its 404 camcorder media player, which it claims is the first portable media player with an integrated camcorder. The 404 camcorder also includes a robust, multimedia-minded feature set, with a 1.3-megapixel camera to capture still shots and a music player that lists the title and artist and displays the album art.
The video player can read MPEG-4, WMV, H.264, MPEG-2 and VOB files and is compatible with online movie downloads. Archos also has a DVR station accessory (unfortunately its not bundled with the device) that allows you to record shows from your TV or play your videos on your television. The media player packs in a 30 GB hard drive and can sync with your computer with a USB 2.0 connection.
The Archos 404 camcorder is lightweight at just 7 ounces, and has a brushed metallic case. The device looks like a simple, point-and-shoot camera with a slick, rectangular profile, and it has a large 3.5 LCD screen on its back side.
