The new, pro-choice virtual carrier will operate on Sprint's network and is offering to buy out your current wireless contract.
Planned Parenthood unleashed its own MVNO this week, which will run on Sprint's network and is powered by Working Assets (another MVNO that supports various charities). Planned Parenthood Wireless includes a fleet of bare-bones, aging handsets that we've seen on Sprint, such as the LG PM-225, the Sanyo Katana in blue and the Sanyo SCP-2400, among others. The MVNO will offer a service contract buyout of up to $175 through the end of March to entice people to switch to its service, which includes both individual and family plans.
The pro-choice organization plans to donate 10 percent of the MVNO's profits to Planned Parenthood. The carrier also plans to send its customers SMS messages that inform them on the lasts news and issues affecting women's health and reproduction.
