The Samsung Ultra Edition U600 slims down the manufacturer's own svelte D900 Black Carbon and features a wafer-thin profile at just 0.4 inches, coming in at about a tenth of an inch thinner than the Black Carbon. Beyond its emaciated waistline, the U600 (which debuted yesterday at 3GSM in Barcelona) sports an eye-catching sleek look, with a 2.2-inch TFT display. The slider will be available in several attractive hues, including silver, gold, red and blue.
Like the Black Carbon, Ultra Edition U600 serves up a plethora of multimedia features, such as a 3.2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0, 60MB of onboard memory, along with a microSD memory expansion slot for storing all those images. The handset also includes a music player with support for MP3, AAC, eAAC+ and WMA files. Rounding out the U600's specs are e-mail and a business card reader.
Price & availability
The Samsung Ultra Edition U600 is expect to release in spring 2007, but no word yet on price or release locations.
