The sleek candy bar dishes up a bevy of multimedia features, including a 2-megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, FM radio and microSD memory expansion.
Motorola revives its aging SLVR line with the SLVR L9. Introduced today at 3GSM in Barcelona, the candy bar features a similar look to older SLVR models, but adds a shiny, metallic shell. The handset also retains its classic flat panel keypad.
While updates to the SLVR L9's appearance are minimal, Motorola certainly beefed up its feature set, adding stereo Bluetooth and an FM radio with Radio Data System (RDS) that delivers song and radio station information right to the handset's display, making this a music-centric phone. The manufacturer also serves up a 2-megapixel camera/camcorder, with landscape playback.
Multimedia wasn’t the only area to get feature boost; the L9 includes Motorola's CrystalTalk technology, which promises a clearer call when surrounded by a lot of noise. The L9 also features a convenient external microSD expansion slot, but only supports EDGE and GPRS networks.
Price & availability
The Motorola SLVR L9 is expected to arrive toward the middle of 2007. No word on pricing or specific locations.
