Sony Ericsson J110 candy bar keeps it simpleBy Jennifer Hooker, 6 February 2007

This basic handset boasts easy-to-navigate menus and a comfortable keypad in an array of colors to match any style.

Sony Ericsson's J110 features the understated style of a simple candy bar form factor, but adds some pizzazz by offering it in colors. Moving beyond the trite red and pink hues, Sony Ericsson draped the J110 in shades of purple, gray and cream. Though the candy-bar isn't exactly wafer-thin (like we've seen with Samsung's SGH-T519), at 0.7 inches thick, it features a borderline slim profile.

The J110 is geared toward handset newcomers that just want a phone that makes calls, and serves up an easy-to-use iconic menu and a large keypad for accurate navigation. The candy bar also includes a speakerphone and a robust contact list with several field entries. The J110 is expected to arrive in select markets by the middle of the year.
