The basic, quad-band handset arrives with a few tricks up its sleeves, including a VGA camera, an IR port, 2MB of on-board memory and more.
The K200 looks to be a no-nonsense addition to Sony Ericsson's low-end line, aimed squared at mobile chatters who like a little picture snapping to go with their calling. Arriving in metallic black an light champagne flavors, the K200 boasts all the basics, including a 300-entry contact book, polyphonic ringtones, a WAP browser, GPRS data abilities, SMS and MMS messaging and a speakerphone. The handset's 128 x 128, 65,000-color CSTN display looks to be workable, if not exactly eye-popping.
The phone also comes with some basic photo abilities, including a VGA camera and 2MB of on-board memory, good for storing about 40-odd snapshots. You also get an IR port, but don't look for Bluetooth on this otherwise bare-bones phone. Look for the K200 to hit the worldwide market sometime in the second quarter.
