The tri-band GSM/EDGE W200 candy bar debuts with a music player, an FM radio, up to 1GB of memory expansion and on-board e-mail.
Design
The diminutive W200 fit like a charm in the palm of our hand, and it feels pleasingly light for its size. The phone's 128 x 160-pixel, 65,000-color display showed clear screen-door effects, but that's to be expected with a budget phone like this, and colors looked bright and vivid. Our fingertips had a little trouble with the W200's cramped keypad and stubby navigational joystick, but we're sure we'd get used to it with practice.
Features
For a budget Walkman, the tri-band GSM/EDGE W200 arrives with a decent set of music features, including the standard Walkman music player (plenty of music controls, although but no cover art), an FM radio, music-synching software, and up to 1GB of Memory Stick Micro memory expansion. The phone also manages to pack in an e-mail client, a VGA camera and a speakerphone -- no Bluetooth, however.
